Chinese bizwoman wounded, daughter killed in Roxas City robbery
ROXAS CITY – A Chinese businesswoman was seriously wounded while her 16-year old daughter was killed after two robbers barged into their house in Aguinaldo Street, Barangay 1 this city Tuesday evening.
Roxas City police investigators identified the victims as Letty Weng y Ang a.k.a Letty Hung, 36, and her daughter Bina Weng, 16.
Both victims sustained multiple contusions, abrasions and hematoma due to the hard objects used to struck them.
The younger Weng was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians while her mother is still undergoing medical treatment at a hospital here.
The Roxas City police identified suspects as Isidro Tolitol alias Lanlan, 38, driver of the Weng family, a native of Brgy. Butungan, Estancia, Iloilo and temporarily residing at Lawa-an this city and a newly-hired delivery truck helper who was not immediately identified
The two suspects carted away the businesswoman's cash collection of P50,000.
The suspects fled away after the older Weng shouted for help from their neighbors.
Police investigation also revealed that the two suspects were seen by the security guard on duty in the person of Raffy Aninacion, 21, of Cagay this city and security guard of Leonhearth Security Agency.
Recovered from the scene of incident were a baseball cap printed with "Penn State Country" and two pairs of white clothes with bloodstain and back pack containing clothes of the driver.
Police said the suspects fled towards the direction of Caticlan, Aklan after the incident.
