Groups want retention of Roxas City fire marshal
ROXAS CITY – Nine Non Government Organizations (NGOs), the City Council and Capiz Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) had expressed their manifestation through resolutions that they wanted city Fire Inspector Pancho de la Cruz be retained as city fire marshal.
The NGOs that drafted and approved resolutions in support of De la Cruz were: Capiz Citizens Action Group (CACAG), Roxas City Filipino-Chinese Chamber and Industry (RCFCCI), Capiz Halaran Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CHCCI), Capiz Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council (CSMEDC), Capiz Visitors and Convention Bureau, Inc. (CVCB), Capiz Transport Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CTMPC), Capiz Hotels Resorts and Restaurants Associations (CAHRRA), the Rotary Clubs and the Kiwanis Clubs.
In a resolution of support approved by Capiz SP on Thursday, it stated that De la Cruz has been a very active partner in civic and social development projects thereby established a very strong and closer-than-ever relationship with the private sector and bringing out an ordinarily high sense of confidence to the community and progressive public image
The resolution was authored by Board Member Esteban Contreras II.
Earlier, De la Cruz tendered his exit call during the recent regular session of the city council as he reported his accomplishment reports during his stint as city fire marshal.
