NDCC releases P10M for city's flood control program
The National Disaster Coordinating Council released recently P10 million as assistance to Bacolod City's flood control program through the city's Flood Mitigation Committee chaired by Councilor Roberto Rojas.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia expressed his gratitude to NDCC and to Undersecretary Anthony Golez who facilitated the release of the assistance. Leonardia said that the amount will definitely do a lot of help to the city's continuing efforts to address the problems of flooding in the city.
Rojas, on the other hand, said that the amount will be set for the priority programs of the Flood Mitigation Committee. The priority programs include preventive measures in flood-prone areas identified by the City Engineer's Office.
