1st district pre-school teachers learn new teaching styles in DepEd gab
In view of the nation’s “Education For All (EFA) 2015 plan,” pre-school teachers and day care workers in Iloilo’s First District were called in for a different kind of training program.
Focused on providing a holistic program of reforms “for full development of human personality,” Department of Education (DepEd) District Supervisor Leonidas Londres spearheaded the training.
The two-day event slated today and tomorrow will be held at the Guimbal Central Elementary School.
“This activity will help our pre-school teachers and day care workers in improving their teaching styles to suit their learners’ needs,” District head Londres said.
Board Member Richard Garin was first among the district’s officials to express full support on the DepEd’s undertaking.
“In line with our priority for excellence and quality education, and in realization of the programs pushed by Congresswoman Janet Garin, it is essential that we continue to bring in new techniques for our teachers and educators. In the long run, the benefits are two-ways, for our teachers and the students then eventually, the community,” Garin said.
Similar sentiments shared by Board Member Mac Napulan who said that alongside his thrust to ensure the wellness of the locals, education is top priority as well.
To note, First District public schools has since excelled in the rankings and achievement tests by the DepEd.
Guimbal for its part has earned numerous recognitions for academic excellence.
