Cano is Kampi bet for congressman
BACOLOD CITY -- Kabalikat ng Mamamayang Pilipino (KAMPI) Regional Chair Rep. Iggy Arroyo, (5th District, Neg. Occ.) said that Land Transportation Office (LTO) NCR Director Ricardo "Cano" Tan is KAMPI's candidate for Congress in the Lone District of Bacolod.
Arroyo said that Cano Tan is the choice of the party for the Congressional post in the city this coming 2010 election.
Tan is with KAMPI since 1995 and was instrumental in organizing KAMPI in Bacolod City with 16,000 card bearing members.
He also organized KAMPI in Negros Oriental.
Cano Tan is the City Chairman of KAMPI in Bacolod City. He was then the organizer, member of the Executive Committee and member of the National Council of KAMPI whose appointment was signed by President Arroyo when she was then a Senator and Cong. Arroyo who is KAMPI organizer in Western Visayas.
Tan, on the other hand, expressed his gratitude that KAMPI is with his side particularly on his plan to run for Congress in the Lone District of Bacolod.
"I have been loyal with the party and a good soldier. I am honored that Cong. Iggy Arroyo said that I am their choice for the Congressional post in the City of Bacolod," Tan said.
