PNPAAAI-Negros Occidental Chapter off to a strong start
BACOLOD CITY -- The Philippine National Police Academy Alumni Association Incorporated (PNPAAAI)-Negros Occidental Chapter started the year 2009 on a bright note following the induction rites of newly-elected officers of the organization held last April 3 in Bacolod City.
Negros Occidental Governor Isidro Zayco inducted the newly elected set of officers for the term 2009-2011 of the Philippine National Police Academy Alumni Association, Incorporated (PNPAAAI) last Thursday at the L'Fisher Hotel.
The officers, led by San Carlos City Police Station Chief Police Superintendent Harold Tuzon (PNPA '90), the elected president, are graduates of the Philippine National Police Academy now based in Camp Mariano Castaneda in Silang, Cavite.
Police Chief Inspector Rico Santotome Jr (PNPA '99), Press Relations Officer of the PNPAAAI- Negros Occidental Chapter, said that aside from Governor Zayco, other invited guests who graced the affair include Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office director Police Senior Superintendent Manuel Felix, Board Members Nehemias Dela Cruz and Renato Gustilo, City Councilor Al Victor Espino of Bacolod, Miss Mae Diamante of NAPOLCOM, Police Superintendent Leo Irwin Agpangan (PNPA '89), OIC of the Bacolod City Police Office, friends from the media led by Edgar Cadagat of the Negros Press Club as well as spouses of the PNPA officers assigned with the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and Bureau of Fire Protection in Negros Occidental.
Past presidents include PSupt Amado Marquez Jr (PNPA '81) and PSupt Milko Lirazan (PNPA '83). Also in attendance were newly-promoted Senior Superintendent Rolen Balquin (PNPA '87) and his betterhalf as well as graduates of the PNPA.
The theme for the affair is "Kaagapay Mo Kami Tungo Sa Masagana, Maunlad At Mapayapang Negros Occidental". (PO2 Listini Lin C Villasana, PIO PNCO)
