Coordinating conference between PNP, Phil. Army held in Cauayan
A coordinating conference between the Philippine National Police in Negros Occidental and the Philippine Army was held last Tuesday morning at the 61st Infantry Battalion headquarters in Barangay Tiling, Cauayan in the province.
Police Chief Inspector Rico Santotome Jr, public information officer of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, said that the conference was attended by NOPPO staff, the chiefs of police of the various municipal police stations in the 6th District to include Kabankalan City PNP and Philippine Army officers.
Discussed during the said meeting were the different insurgency situations in the CHICKS area and the appropriate measures to be conducted in addressing the said problems.
Furthermore, the conference was conducted with the main aim of ensuring a safe and secure Negros Occidental to live, work and do business through the coordinated efforts of the provincial government, NOPPO, the Philippine Army and other friendly forces.
The coordinating conference is also in line with the TEAM NEGROS action plan of NOPPO and the provincial government of Negros Occidental headed by Governor Isidro Zayco specifically in giving peace a chance as well as neighborhood involvement and partnership.
