NOPPO holds ‘PNP Night’ today
BACOLOD CITY — In line with the 14th Police Community Relations Month celebration, the Philippine National Police in Negros Occidental will be having its PNP Night today at the Kanla-on Hall of Camp Alfredo Montelibano in Bacolod City.
According to Police Chief Inspector Jefferson Descallar, head of the PCR Branch of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, yesterday, the NOPPO Literary Musical Contest elimination round was conducted among various participants from the lower units in the ballroom dancing, oration, vocal solo and “komposo” competitions.
Today is the final round wherein they will be judged by Board Member Mae Javellana, Miss Marlyn Sanogal of Negros Occidental PIO and NAPOLCOM’s Mae Adrias.
BM Javellana will be the guest during the affair and at the same time, will induct the officers of the Policewomen’s Association of Negros Occidental with Police Officer 2 Joni Mary Morre as president.
NOPPO director Police Senior Superintendent Manuel Felix yesterday opened the PNP’s Display and Exhibit booth at SM City-North Wing where various action pictures of NOPPO accomplishments, PNP uniforms and the like are displayed until July 31.
The PCR Month celebration will be highlighted with the awarding of winners of various contests including the essay writing and poster making contests for students at Camp Montelibano on July 31.
