Pontevedra launches Citizen’s Charter
ROXAS CITY – The municipal government of Pontevedra, Capiz will launched its Citizen’s Charter (CC) on September 9, in accordance with the Republic Act 9485 or the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007.
This was disclosed by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) – Capiz Field Office in a press release on the various local government units’ (LGU) CC compliance.
“The local government unit of Ivisan is the very first to launch Citizen’s Charter in the province last month,” said a CSC – Capiz news release.
The launching also included the unveiling of the billboard setting forth the town’s vision, mission, list of frontline services, recitation of the Performance Pledge by all officials and employees, singing of the “Arriba Ivisan” hymn, and inspiration messages delivered by Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Provincial Director Helen Mestidio and CSC Provincial Director Ma. Cynthia P. A. Gellegani.
The other LGUs that have already launched their CCs as of Sept. 4 are Cuartero, Dumalag and Dumarao, noted the CSC news.
Other compliant LGUs, Capiz State University and various Water Districts are also set to launch their respective charter this September in time with the 109th Philippine Civil Service month celebration. (CSC/PIA/A. Lumaque)
