Training on basic effective supervision for Capitol heads conducted
BACOLOD CITY – The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental through the Provincial Human Resource Management Office (PHRMO) in collaboration with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office 6 is conducting a three-day Basic Effective Supervision Training (BEST) for the second batch of Capitol’s first-line supervisors starting Monday, September 14 up to 16, 2009 at Pearl Manor Hotel in Bacolod City. The first batch was conducted last September 7 to 9, 2009.
The program started with words of welcome by Provincial Administrator Enrique S. Pinongan, followed by an inspirational message from SP Manuel Frederick O. Ko, Committee Chairman on Personnel and Human Resources Development.
Rev. Fr. Rafael R. Eslabra conducted the first training module on Effectiveness and Habits of Effective People.
CSC Field Office Director II Fernando O. Mendoza will present the module on Supervision on the second day.
While University of the Philippines’ Professor, Evelyn O. Alobba will conduct the third module on Communication and Human Relations on the third day.
The training; which contains modules on communication management and supervision, personnel effectiveness and stress management; aims to enhance knowledge and skills of first-line supervisors in effective supervision and management.
Participants of the BEST will be handed training certificates after a Post Training Evaluation as culmination of the activity. (Capitol News)
