Group plans to create crisis management center in Boracay
BORACAY ISLAND, Aklan — The Eminent Persons Group (EPG) plans to establish a Crisis Management Center (CMC) to further boost the tourism industry here.
“Our tourism industry will be boosted farther because the center will give an impression that we, here in Boracay, are capable of disaster management. We are planning to convert the center into a world-class tourist’s facility through soliciting donations,” EPG director Reynaldo Dela Rosa said.
The center which will also be equipped with communication facilities will be installed in Barangay Balabag. It will be manned by trained volunteers and staff including rescue groups.
An insurance company has pledged to donate medical equipment for first aid during accident. (PNA)
