Guimbal man arrested for marijuana
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Guimbal Police arrested a man for possession of 12 plastic sachets of marijuana midnight of Oct. 29, 2009.
Arrested was Lloyd Gargaritano (alias Gido) of Burgos-Gengos, Guimbal, Iloilo by virtue of a search warrant in violation of Section 5 and 6 of Republic Act 9165 or selling drugs and maintenance of a drug den, issued by Judge Domingo Diamante of the Regional Trial Court of Guimbal.
According to Paul Ledesma, PDEA regional director, “Gargaritano was reported to be selling marijuana, using the fish business as a front. He was spotted in Tigbauan, Guimbal, Tubungan and Igbaras. He was arrested in his house.”
As of presstime, the seized items will be subjected to an inventory by the provincial fiscal and sent to the laboratory for drug testing.
Gargaritano is now temporarily detained at the Guimbal Police Station.
