NONESCOST celebrates Nursing Days 2009
BACOLOD CITY — The Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology (NONESCOST) School of Nursing is celebrating a two-day Nursing Days, that started yesterday, at the Negros Occidental Multi-purpose Activity Center (NOMPAC) in Bacolod City with the theme, “One Family and One Institution, Moving Towards Excellence and Global Competitiveness.
Spearheaded by the school’s Nightingale Organization, the activity kicked-off with a motorcade which was participated in by all nursing students followed by an opening program.
Sports and cultural activities such as volleyball, chess and table tennis as well as a beauty pageant highlighted yesterday’s activity.
Meanwhile, a seminar on Solid Waste Management will be conducted today with Engr. Joel Belascuain of the Cadiz City Solid Waste Management Program as the resource person. Team building games and a raffle draw will be held in the afternoon.
Also present during the opening program were Provincial Human Resource Management Officer and Secretariat Head of the Negros Occidental Scholarship Program, Virginia L. Parreno; Nursing Scholarship Coordinator Cheryl J. Siana; NONESCOST Students Services Division Director, Ritchie Balandra. Nightingale Organization adviser, Joevelyn Badayos; and NONESCOST Faculty and Staff, among others. (Capitol News)
