City, province sponsor free showing of Pacquiao-Cotto fight
ROXAS CITY – The city government under the leadership of City Mayor Vicente Bermejo and Capiz province headed by Gov. Victor Tanco, Sr. will bring a live show here on Sunday, November 15 of the most awaited boxing bout between the reigning pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao and Puertorican Manuel Cotto in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
The city government will use the Dinggoy Roxas Civic Center as venue while the provincial government will also utilize the Capiz Gym in Villareal Stadium as the place for the Pacquiao-Cotto boxing bout on Sunday.
The said live show in two venues will be provided by Filvision/Alto Cable via satellite for free.
Expectedly, thousands of spectators will troop the in Capiz gym and Dinggoy Roxas Civic Center this coming Sunday.
Both the city and provincial governments had shown the previous Pacquiao fights for free to the public in the two venues.
