5 towns in 1st District want Del Rosario to seek for reelection
ROXAS CITY – Majority of the barangay captains from five towns urged 1st District Cong. Antonio del Rosario to seek for reelection as representative of the 1st district and not run for other position in the forthcoming 2010 election.
The five towns who endorsed Del Rosario for congressman are: Panitan, President Roxas, Maayon, Pontevedra and Pilar. The town of Panay and Roxas City have not made the same endorsement.
In different position papers and manifesto of support obtained by The News Today (TNT), the signatures of village chiefs manifest and affirm their unconditional and full support to Del Rosario of the 1st district of Capiz, for him to remain as their congressman.
According to them, apart from Del Rosario’s winnability, their affirmation is anchored on the following cogent reasons: that Cong. Del Rosario has already established and created harmonious and friendly relationship and intimacy among their group and constituencies in the barangays.
They also said that they have complete faith and confidence in him being a person of integrity, sincerity, approachable and fair in all his dealings with all of them, earning thier respect and admiration.
They said that he has done a lot of contribution to development and progress to their barangays in a way of providing them the multicabs vehicles and the medical kits needed for emergency services to their respective constituents;
“And likewise, worthwhile mentioning, he also provided us the infrastructure development projects in practically all of our barangays in less than 3 years of services as congressman,” they added;
The manifesto also said that he also provided financial assistance to their constituents who had been hospitalized in both public and private hospitals and also those who need medicines for their regular maintenance.
They added that with respect to their fisher folks and farmers especially those traveling by the use of our rivers, Del Rosario has likewise provided them with motorized service boats thus making it easier and faster the transport and delivery of marine and aquatic produce to the market.
Ealier, Del Rosario was groomed to run for city mayor against incumbent Mayor Vicente Bermejo.
