Roxas City PNP to probe unruly cop
ROXAS CITY – The Roxas City PNP Station has created a body to probe the unruly police officer who was complained by two Guest Relation Officers (GROs) and the owner of a KTV bar after he went wild inside the business establishment last Saturday evening.
Supt. Leo Batiles, police chief of Roxas City PNP station, said that he formed a team to investigate SPO2 Nelson “Boy” Arduo who had been a subject of complaint by two GROs and retired police chief Romeo Hervias, owner of the KTV bar.
According to him, he ordered Arduo to explain within 24 hours on what really happened however, he failed to do so as of yesterday.
“If he still ignored is, it means, he waived his right to answer the allegation but the investigation will continue,” Batiles said in a radio interview.
Batiles said that once proven that Arduo is guilty, he will be meted with suspension as disciplinary action which depends on the gravity of his case.
Last Saturday, Arduo went wild at a videoke bar here after he was not given the guest relation officer (GRO) he has requested.
Sara (not her real name), a GRO of a videoke bar along Roxas Avenue here, said in a radio interview, that Arduo, entered the bar and took a VIP room amounting P500 which is consumable with one lady’s drink and four bottles of beer. He then requested for a GRO but the lady he chose was no longer available as she already has a customer.
Sara said she entertained the police officer who eventually asked her to have sex. At first she objected to the policeman’s invitation as they were not supposed to engage in sex inside the bar but she later agreed after she was allegedly threatened by the cop.
Sara said after having sex with the police officer, the latter asked her to again call for the GRO he had first chosen. However, the GRO he requested refused prompting Ardo to get empty bottles of beer and damaged two thermos.
According to Sara, she and Ardo were amicably settled at the police station during that night, however, when she came back to the bar, Ardo followed him and went wild again and asked to refund his P500 since he was given a different GRO from what he has chosen.
On the other hand, Arduo said that he went wild because he was fooled by GROs whom he requested to entertain him inside the bar.
The police officer admitted that he entered the KTV bar during his off duty and threw bottles of beers so that the GROs who fooled him will not ignore him.
Arduo said that he got irked after he was given a GRO who is not of choice.
