Encarnacion still member of MIWD Board
Dr. Danilo Encarnacion is still a member of the Board of Directors of Metro Iloilo Water District (MIWD).
The Board issued this statement in the wake of the news that the appointment rf Encarnacion was declared by the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) as null and void.
In his letter dated December 17, 2009 and addressed to Danlel Landingin, LWUA Acting Administrator Celso Javelosa, MIWD Board Chairman, reminded Landingin that “the appointment was confirmed after LWUA found the documents all in conformance with the provisions of PD 198, as amended.” LWUA confirmed Encarnacion’s appointment an May 11, 2009.
Dr. Encamacion was appointed by Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas and represents the educational Institution.
The validity of his appointment was argued by some members of the MIWD employees Union.
