Liga prexy justifies absences in regular sessions
ROXAS CITY – Liga Federation President and Ex-Officio Member Clemente “Budong” Firmalino has justified his absences at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) regular sessions last year.
According to him, the province of Capiz both 1st and 2nd district has 474 barangays where he is bound to serve being the Liga president not to mention that he is also Liga president of Dumalag and barangay captain of Poblacion.
“Attending the session is not only the task of the Liga president, I was also busy attending to invitations from barangays,” Firmalino said.
Aside from attending invitations at the barangays, he also said that he conducted a Liga bloodletting in Dumalag and meeting in Manila relative to his function as Liga federation president.
“Wala ko gina pabay an ang obligasyon ko sa pumuluyo and the people know it,” Firmalino said.
It was learned that Firmalino has only attended 10 regular sessions out of 38 from January 1 – December 23, 2009.
However, the Liga president has 3 authored resolutions and one sponsored ordinance/resolution.
Next to Firmalino, who has 17 absences were: Board Members Gilbert Ardivilla,11; Bettina Bayot, 9; Vincent Fritz Cruz Am, 8; Rommel Lastimoso, 6; Raymund Locsin, 4; Davis Felix Bauson, and Alfonso Bediones, 3; Vice Gov. Felipe Barredo, 2; Nenita Martelino, Baden Cantiller, Esteban “Nonoy” Contreras and Enrique Martin, 1.
