Construction of Mambusao’s P40M municipal hall ongoing
ROXAS CITY – A new municipal hall building with a budget of P35 – 40 million is currently being constructed in Mambusao beside the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) building.
Mayor Jose “Joe” Alba said that the construction of the new municipal building is on a phase-by-phase basis wherein according to him, it was started in the amount of P8.5 million from the savings of the municipal government.
According to him, the two-story building which is now constructed at the half hectare lot owned by the town is expected to be finished in 2012.
“If I’m not lucky to be reelected again as mayor of this town, somebody who is my successor will finish it,” Alba said.
He added that the newly renovated old municipal hall building will be utilized as the offices of national government offices, museum, library and others.
Alba also said that Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago contributed the amount of P200,000; and Miguel Sobire, P1 million while Sen. Ed Angara’s P1 million was spent to the renovation of an old municipal building.
The Mambusao mayor added that the phase one was almost finished and the construction for phase 2 is now ready.
Meanwhile, he said that several major projects in Mambusao are still being undertaken by his administration.
