Ma, daughter shot dead inside own home
A 69-year old woman and her daughter were instantly killed after they were peppered with bullets inside their own home at Brgy. San Rafael, a mountainous area in Tigbauan, Iloilo.
Fausta Juesna, 69, and her daughter, 32-year old Joan Glen Camalando, both succumbed to gunshot wounds on the different parts of their body coming from 12-gauge shotgun and caliber .38 revolver.
Juesna’s granddaughter and Camalando’s niece, two-year old Mikaela, were hit with a stray bullet on her back. She was rushed to a hospital in Iloilo City.
According to eyewitness 12-year old Jun (not his real name), four armed men in bonnets suddenly barged inside their house at around 7:00 in the evening.
The suspects gained entrance by cutting the rope, which served as the house’s barricade.
His lola Fausta was allegedly weaving basket near the door while his aunt, Joan Glen, was at the kitchen.
“Nagsulod sanda. Amo to ginpangita da si Tita kag gintiro. Pati si Lola,” Jun claimed.
At the initial burst of gunfire, Jun claimed that he immediately hid under the bed.
“Pagkatapos da tiro, nagkuon ang isa ka laki nga tama dun kay mapanaw dun sanda kuno,” he added.
For Fausta’s husband, Eduardo, said that nothing could be more painful that seeing his wife and daughter in their own pool of blood.
He also could not think of any other reason for such brutal act except a land conflict between his family and another party, which he temporarily refused to divulge.
“Kung may diperesya sa asawa ko, nagprangka daad sanda. Kung may sala, tampadon. Indi pagpa-agi sa maluib nga paagi,” he added.
As this developed, police are collating testimonies and evidences for filing of charges against the suspects.
