Belo bares development projects
ROXAS CITY – Reelectionist Panitan Mayor Katherine “Kit” Belo bared her ongoing development projects and major accomplishments in her town for the past six years not to mention her minor projects as mayor of the said municipality.
According to her, one of the which is the newly completed municipal hall extension in the second floor with the budget of P1.7 million which was sourced from the savings of the municipal government.
She added that a two-storey birthing clinic at the back of the municipal hall was also completed with the budget of P2.2 million in which P1.2 million was granted by European government while P1 million was the counter part of the municipal government.
Belo, a Liberal Party (LP) and last termer mayor, said that the ongoing development projects are the concreting of Baragnay Entampilan road, public market expansion and the proposed purchase of 100 hand pumps to be given to the barangays for public use.
Panitan is the source of water distributed in Roxas City, Ivisan, Panay and Sigma as the treatment plant of Metro Roxas Water District is connected in Panay river at the said town.
It is also the source of power where the two generators and transmission lines of Capiz Electric Cooperative, Inc (CAPELCO) is located.
