LP, UKC bets tie in Bombo survey
ROXAS CITY – A survey commissioned by Bombo Radyo-Roxas in the first week of this month showed that both the Liberal Party (LP) and Ugyon Kita Capiz (UKC) will have a total of five board members each and will also have one representative each.
The survey conducted by Random Access Consultancy, Inc. showed that 5 UKC and 5 LP candidates won. Voters in the province of Capiz including Roxas City will have board members coming from top 5 candidates in 1st district and top 5 in 2nd district, or a total of ten board members.
On the other hand, LP bet won in the 1st district congressional race while UKC bet also won in 2nd district congressional race.
For the 1st district of Capiz, there were 3 UKC and 2 LP bets who are at the top five, they are Former Board Member Blesilda Perez Almalbis (UKC), 44.55%; Ramon “Monchit” Albar (UKC), 28.7%; Former Vice Mayor Roberto Ignacio (UKC), 24.7%; and Former City Councilor Eduardo Magallanes (LP), 22.8%, and Pontevedra Vice Mayor Noeme Dumapig (LP), 21.7%.
First District candidates for board members who are not included the top 5 are: Dr. Cesar Yap, 21,7%, (UKC); Incumbent Board Member David Bauson, 14.7%, (LP); Lawyer Kenneth Alovera, 12.3%, (UKC); Lawyer Remia Fuentes, 11%, (LP); and Sunny Besa, 10.8%, (LP).
In the 2nd district of Capiz, 3 LP bets and 2 UKC bets are in the top five, they are, Former Board Member Alwin Cruz Am who garnered 45%; Former Board Member Cris Andaya, 36%; Incumbent Board Member Winston Advincula, 31%, all of LP; Dr. Mimi Ardivilla, 30.7% and Former Board Member Henry Reyes, 17.7%, all of UKC.
Second District board members who are not included in top are: Former Board Member Antonio Arcega, 17.2%, LP; Antonio Martinez, 15.2%, independent; Vice Mayor James Magbanua, 14.7%, UKC; Jeffrey Layo, 12.5%, UKC; Milo Robles, 12.3%, UKC; Mario Niel San Felix, 10.7%, LP; Vicente Alejaga, 6.3%, independent; Hinola, 6.3%, independent; Lawyer Priston Villasis, 5%, independent; and Ernesto Bulilan, 4.2%.
For the 1st district congressional race, Incumbent Rep. Antonio del Rosario, LP, won over his opponents Former Cong. Rodriquez Dadivas, independent, with a small margin, next is Vice Gov. Felipe Barredo (UKC) and Dado Tinsay, independent.
For 2nd district congressional race, Mrs Jane Castro of UKC, wife of Cong. Fredenil Castro, garnered 69% while his lone opponent Former PNP Chief Retired Gen. Roberto “Bobby” Lastimoso of LP got only 19.2%.
Bombo Radyo-Roxas said that the survey firm conducted a survey on Feb. 2-6, 2010 with 600 respondents in 1st district and 600 respondents in 2nd district.
It also said that the margin of error is plus-minus 4 percent.
