“It’s not good for a politician to claim projects which are not his,” Del Rosario said.
According to him, he monitored Dadivas, on his several sorties, that he (Dadivas) said that through his effort, those projects were implemented.
He clarified that the fishing port in Pilar was his request from the national government for he wanted that the said town become progressive as the center of port of Masbate, Romblon, Northern part of Iloilo and rest of Capiz towns.
He also said that Sen. Mar Roxas poured some P4 million to Ambilay bridge in Panitan while the school building in Barra was the result of his negotiation with the lot owner in the person of Doming De Guzman adding that funds was sourced from his Countrywide Development Fund (CDF).
On the other hand, Dadivas refuted Del Rosario’s claim over the fishing port in Pilar. According to him, he was the one who follow up the projects during the incumbencies of former Pilar Mayor Ike Patricio and wife Rita.
He also said that the fishing port project was implemented during the incumbency of Del Rosario.
He added that the funds of the fishing port was not sourced from any pork barrel but it was funded by the Bureau of Fishery and Aquatic Resources (BFAR).
Contrary to Del Rosario’s claim, Dadivas said that Ambilay bridge in Panitan was his project which he funded in the amount of P12 million during his 2nd term.
Dadivas, former member of Liberal Party (LP), filed Certificate of Candidacy as independent for 1st district congressman against Del Rosario, who was anointed as LP bet, in May 10, 2010 election.
