CSCRO6 all set for LSP-MDC written exam
The Civil Service Commission Regional Office 6 (CSCRO6) is all set for the conduct of the written examination for the Local Scholarship Program-Master’s Degree Course (LSP-MDC) on March 28, 2010.
The written test is the first of two stages. The test is designed to measure basic competencies required for graduate work. It is a test of verbal ability, analytical ability, numerical ability, managerial ability and general knowledge on the Philippine Constitution, human rights, work ethics (RA 6713) and environment protection. Those who pass the written examination shall qualify for the second stage which is the interview.
Since the LSP-MDC was opened in 1993, CSCRO6 had a total of 197 scholars. Out of this number, 163 scholars were able to graduate. The LSP-MDC aims to provide educational opportunities, particularly in graduate studies of government employees for their personal development and career advancement. It also aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of government employees so that they can contribute to the achievement of their agencies’ goals which in the long run, will help in the attainment of national development aspirations. Finally, it aims to support the process of professionalizing the civil service workforce to make it more effective in the delivery of public service.
On the day of the examination, examinees are advised to bring their Notice of Assignment/ Application Receipt; blue or black ballpen; lead pencil (No. 2) and eraser; and valid ID presented when the application was filed, a photocopy of which was attached to the application form.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Service Officer Examination (FSOE) will also be conducted together with the LSP-MDC written test in Iloilo City.
