Aklan PNP to hold prayer vigil for HOPE
The Aklan Police Provincial Office in coordination with the COMELEC, AFP, NGOs, CPLMC, CBCP, PPCRV and other religious denominations as well as the stakeholders, shall conduct a prayer vigil to inculcate the importance of prayer in every member of the PNP as it seeks the blessing of the Almighty God for the successful conduct of Honest, Orderly and Peaceful Elections (HOPE) this May 2010.
The prayer vigil will be held on April 21, 2010 at St. Ignatius De Loyola Chapel at Camp Pastor Martelino while on April 28, 2010 at the Parish Churches of the municipalities where the Police Stations are located.
The activity is to set forth the involvement of PNP personnel in ecumenical prayer and inter-agency solidarity and in mobilizing the power of spirituality for the conduct of an Honest, Orderly and Peaceful Elections (HOPE) and to ensure the success of this first-time nationwide automated elections.
The PNP should be involved in this endeavor to influence in conscientiously ensuring that the first automated elections will be successful. This will also underscore one of the thrusts of the Integrated Transformation Program of the PNP which is the implementation of the moral and spiritual recovery program aimed to reinvigorate the core values of the men and women within the organization for a strong character foundation and for them to be proud to wear the PNP badge with honor and dignity while performing the noble task of protecting, serving and influencing the members of the community.
Aklan PPO Provincial Director Police Senior Superintendent Epifanio A Bragais, Jr reminds PNP personnel to be non-partisan and refrain from engaging in prohibited acts during the conduct of the May 10, 2010 elections.
