CVO shot dead in Sigma
ROXAS CITY – A member of the Civilian Volunteers Organization (CVO) was accidentally shot to death by a woman Tuesday in Sigma, Capiz.
The fatality was identified as Generoso Dice, legal age of Brgy. Malapad Cogon, Sigma town.
Dice was hit at his sex organ by a 12-gauge shotgun causing his instant death. He was rushed to the Capiz Emmanuel Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
The suspect was identified as Leah Sobrevega, 30, of the same place who immediately fled after the incident.
Police report said that the incident took place at around 1:00 p.m. on May 4 when the victim together with village chief Mark Jemino responded when a certain Moroy Sobrevega, husband of the suspect, went wild for being drunk.
Police also said that Moroy, who was armed with a 12-gauge shotgun, attacked the Casabon family where one member grabbed the said gun.
However, it was later recovered by the suspect and when they grappled the 12-gauge shotgun, it accidentally fired hitting Dice.
