Comelec proclaims winners in Capiz
ROXAS CITY – Winners in the May 10, 2010 elections both in first district and second district including the component city of Roxas City were already proclaimed by their respective city and municipal Comelec officers since last Tuesday morning.
Proclaimed were: Congresswoman-elect Jane Tan Castro, wife of outgoing Rep. Fredenil Castro, Ivisan Mayor Felipe Yap and running mate vice mayor Boy Arboleda, Arturo Orosco, Sr. and running mate Vice Mayor Ralph Odrunia; Mambusao Mayor Jose Alba and running mate Vice Mayor Abel Martinez; Dao Mayor Joselito Escutin and running mate Loreto Eslaban; Cuartero Mayor Roger Flores and running mate Jude Cedullo.
Other proclaimed are: Dumalag Mayor Lilia Castro and running mate Amado Eriberto Castro, Jr.; Dumarao Mayor Leslie Warren Benjamen and Vice mayor-elect Edgar Arancillo (LP) (not vice Mayor Querubin Pamplona as earlier reported); Tapaz Mayor Rosemarie Gardose and running mate and Jamindan Mayor Ethel Jinon and running mate and Sigma Mayor Maria Andaya and running mate Rudy Simon.
In the 1st district, Panay Mayor Dante Bermejo and Vice Mayor Gualberto Bernas III, Ugyon Kita Capiz (UKC), Panitan Mayor Kit Belo and Vice Mayor Generoso Deramas; Pontevedra Mayor Steve Contreras and running mate Dr. Nelson Oquendo; Pres.Roxas Mayor Raymund Locsin and running mate Vice Mayor Alfonso Golero; Maayon vice mayor-elect Wilfredo Borres and running mate Weldie Apolinario; and Pilar Mayor Ritalyn Patricio and running mate Ruby Benigla Patricio.
Others bets who are not yet proclaimed by Provincial Comelec due to the delay of transmission results from Dumalag and Cuartero are Reelectionist Gov. Victor Tanco, Sr. and vice governor-elect Board Member Esteban “Nonoy” Contreras.
Expected to be proclaimed since they are leading in the counting are five 1st district board members: Blesilda Almalbis, UKC, Eduardo Magallanes, Roberto Ignacio, Jonathan Besa, and Lawyer Remia Fuentes Bartolome, all of LP.
In the 2nd district, expected to be proclaimed are: James Magbanua, Mimi Ardivilla, Jeffrey Layo and Carmilo Robles, all of Lakas CMD and Aldwin Cruz Am of LP.
