Mambusao farmers recipient of 4,000 bags fertilizers from DA
MAMBUSAO, Capiz—Farmers here will soon avail of free fertilizers from the Department of Agriculture (DA) regional office.
Reelected Mayor Jose “Joe” Alba told The News Today (TNT) that DA delivered 4,000 bags of fertilizers worth P5 million in their town recently. Alba said it will be distributed to farmers depending on the number of hectares they cultivate.
According to him, Mambusao is the only town in Capiz which is a recipient of free fertilizers from the government.
He added that farmers qualified as recipients have undergone a one day seminar hosted by the DA regional office.
He also said that fertilizers had been tested as effective and compatible for rice land area in Mambusao.
Meanwhile, Alba who will be serving his last term said that he will prioritize the construction of municipal hall building, concreting of roads, infrastructure projects, and continue to serve his people with honesty, transparent governance and no corruption.
As part of his poverty alleviation, the Mambusao mayor said that he is giving native chicken, high high value crops such as carrots, salad tomatoes, red lady papaya and several others to the residents for their livelihood.
He added that the TESDA-DOLE livelihood training for out-of-school youth still continues as some 21 graduates have already gone abroad.
He also expects more projects coming from congresswoman-elect Jane Castro poured in Mambusao such as road concreting, electrification and infrastructures.
Alba also thanked his family, supporters and constituents who have given him another mandate as mayor of Mambusao.
