Wanted man kills brod in Jamindan
JAMINDAN, Capiz – A wanted man allegedly shot to death his older brother after the latter refused to help him kill his brother-in-law in this town recently.
Insp. Lauro de la Torre, chief of Jamindan police station, identified the victim as Noriel Zonio, 41, of Sitio Ulot Mambusao, Brgy. Jaena Norte, this municipality.
The suspect was also identified as Rizaldo Zonio, 30, younger brother of the victim and resident of the same place.
De la Torre told The News Today (TNT) that the incident took place at around 10:30 a.m. on May 18 when the suspect asked the victim for help kill Boy Gregorio, the victim’s brother-in-law however, the victim refused prompting the suspect to shot him with his 12 gauge shot gun.
De la Torre said that Gregorio was allegedly the witness to one of the three murder cases committed by the suspect.
He added that when the victim was hit on the back, he managed to run away while the suspect went home as if nothing happened.
The victim, after the incident, fell down from the hilly portion of the place and reportedly died due to loss of blood. His body was found under state of decomposition in a remote mountain five days after the killing.
The victim’s family decided to bury him at the place where he was found.
