Visitor stabs 5 drinking pals
Five persons were injured after they were stabbed by a man following a birthday party in Brgy. Loboc, La Paz, Iloilo City at around 10:45 p.m. Sunday.
The suspect, Aldrin Soriosa, who is from Capiz is married to a Loboc village resident.
As there was a party, the victims invited the suspect to join the celebration. During their conversation, the drunk victim allegedly insulted his drinking pals.
A La Paz Police investigator said the victims advised Soriosa to go home to avoid conflict. The suspect indeed went home but returned shortly carrying an “indian target” and a knife.
He then attacked Diosdado Mercurio, 57, and John Paul Sajo, 18, who were wounded on the abdomen. Jayvee Firmeza, 20, was hit by the “indian target.” Two minors were also wounded.
The suspect, who asked for forgiveness from the victims, was immediately arrested.
The victims said they will pursue criminal charges against Soriosa.
