Pa killed, son injured in Jamindan
A father was killed by his son in a hacking incident Monday afternoon in front of their house at Brgy. Lucero, Jamindan, Capiz.
The victim, Richie Garino, 55, allegedly died in the hands of his son, Jay, 20.
Before the incident, both father and son indulged in a drinking binge in another house.
During the drinking session, Richie mentioned of physically beating his wife. Jay then asked his father to spare his mother from violence.
They went home shortly later. Before they entered their house, Richie reportedly pulled his bolo and hacked his son.
The wounded Jay fought back by also pulling his bolo and attacked his father.
Relatives brought Jay to Mambusao District Hospital. He was in serious condition as of press time.
By 9 p.m., it was reported that Richie was found dead at the house of Casiple family, also the victim and suspect’s relative.
He apparently died of hacked injuries.
