Capiz to launch Family Health Month
ROXAS CITY – The provincial government will launch the Capiz Family Health Month here on August 26, Provincial Health Officer Samuel Delfin said.
Health Secretary Enrique Ona will lead the guests during the event.
The activity, held in partnership with the Gerry Roxas Foundation HealthPRO project of the United Stated Agency for International Development, will also be attended by Chief of Party from the University Research Center, Dr. Soliman Guirgis, and USAID Mission Director Gloria Steele.
Dubbed as “CAPIZtahan sa Ika-ayong Lawas,” the event will be anchored on the theme “Pagplano sang Pamilya para sa Ikaayong Lawas.”
During the launching at the GRF Convention Hall, Secretary Ona will deliver a message that will highlight the national family planning communications campaign.
Western Visayas Center for Health Development Assistant Regional Director Marlyn Convocar will also deliver a message.
Also, a pledge of support for the family program for good health by the municipal mayors, municipal health officers, and community group representatives will highlight the event.
The province of Capiz through its Provincial Health Office, is also observing the Lung Cancer month, National Lung month, National Tuberculosis Awareness Month, and Sight Saving Month.*PIA
Applications for police exams ongoing
Those interested to join the Philippine National Police can now file their applications at the regional office of the National Police Commission 6.
NAPOLCOM 6 Director Honey Paredes said the PNP entrance examination will be conducted on October 24 in Iloilo City, one of the identified test centers in the country.
Also to be given on October 24, is the PNP Promotional Examination.
Paredes advised applicants to file their applications early because of limited rooms and it will be on “first come first served” basis.
Qualified to take the PNP entrance test are civilians who are bachelor’s degree holder, not more than 30 years old, 1.62 meters tall for male and 1.57 meters for female.
The entrance exam is also a requirement for PNP officers with temporary status as Police Officer 1 to have a permanent appointment in the police service.
The promotional examination is open to all qualified uniformed members of the PNP such as the Police Officers, Senior Police Officers, Police Inspectors and Police Superintendents.
Successful applicants of the entrance examination will be conferred by the NAPOLCOM the PNP Entrance Eligilibity which is appropriate for the appointment to the rank of Police Officer 1.
On the other hand, those who will pass the promotional exam shall be conferred eligibilities appropriate for promotion to the ranks corresponding to the exam’s Eligibility Rank Coverage .
