Ombud welcomes more support for Capiz caravan
The Office of the Ombudsman-Visayas said they welcome support that other sectors could extend to the caravan of government services that they will spearhead for Capiz province on September 1.
Western Visayas Associate Graft Investigation Officer Evangeline Nunal said the door is open to pharmaceutical companies who would like to support the medical and dental services of the caravan at the Capiz Gymnasium in Roxas City.
“We would appreciate any support that these companies would provide for the beneficiaries of the project,” Nunal said.
Their office would be ready to entertain any inquiry that these companies would ask, she said.
The caravan was launched in Western Visayas in 2007 by the Office of the Ombudsman-Visayas headed by Deputy Ombudsman Pelagio Apostol to give opportunity to indigent families and far-flung barangays to avail of government social services.
Capiz Gov. Victor Tanco Sr. thanked the Office of the Ombudsman for the caravan of government services that would be held in their province.
More than 30 government agencies and 300 volunteers are expected to participate in the activity.*PIA
