Castro bares top agenda for Dumalag
ROXAS CITY – Dumalag Mayor Lilia Castro said her top agenda for her second term will still focus on education, health, infrastructure, environmental protection and agriculture.
Some 6,000 scholars have benefited from the free tuition and allowance that she sponsored along with her younger brother Former Rep. Fredenil Castro.
For infrastructure, several health centers have been erected in Dumalag while another four are underway from the Department of Health that will be implemented by the Capiz provincial government.
About 6,000 indigents have also been given PhilHealth cards.
Castro said the municipal building has been extended and a farm-to-market road is also being constructed.
For environmental protection, her administration is undertaking a tree- planting program to develop forest cover in Dumalag.
Castro said the farmers in Dumalag also availed fertilizer and pesticide subsidy with assistance from Rep. Castro.
The mayor, who has received awards on good governance and health programs, said: “These awards are not important for me, but I want an award from our Lord.”*
