Capiz dads mourn death of former colleague
ROXAS CITY – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Capiz on its regular session last Thursday approved resolution expressing deepest sympathy to the bereaved family of former Board Member Winston Advincula and commending him for the genuine public service he offered to the Capiceños.
Advincula died of colon cancer on August 21.
He has served as vice mayor for two terms and mayor for three terms in Jamindan and eventually board member in 2007.
The resolution was authored by Board Members Mimi Ardivilla, Jaime Magbanua, and Clemente Fermalino and sponsored by Board Member Carmilo Robles.
It stated that the province of Capiz was placed in insurmountable sorrow on August 21 when one of its endeared public servants finally submitted to a terminal illness that he had silently yet bravely fought despite the exacting public service and political quests he was earnestly fulfulling.
The Provincial Board recognizes that there is a group of individuals who are truly and deeply distraught by the demise: the bereaved family of Advincula, who were left figuratively wounded in tears; that, the latter deserve words of solace and hope from the SP in their moment of desolation and pain brought about by the death of their loving and beloved family head.
The resolution was furnished to the Advincula family in Jamindan.*
