PHO provides free A(H1N1) vaccines
The Iloilo Provincial Health Office has started giving free A(H1N1) vaccines to its residents but on a selective basis.
Dr. Patricia Grace Trabado, IPHO chief, said the vaccines donated by the World Health Organization are insufficient to cover the entire province, which has a population of over one million.
Trabado said that her office has drawn up a plan to prioritize health workers, pregnant women, children, the elderly, and those already having the disease to “avoid complications.”
She advised Ilonggos to seek the assistance of the different rural health units on how to avail of the free A(H1N1) immunization.*PNA
