Radio network lauded for medical mission
ROXAS CITY – Capiz Vice Gov. Esteban Contreras has commended “Radio Mo Nationwide” for conducting a medical mission in Capiz to pay tribute to its founder, Don Henry Canoy, and commemorate the network’s 58th founding anniversary.
Contreras said the medical mission was spearheaded by RMN-DYVR in Roxas City and supported by the Capiz Provincial Government and the private sector.
“Whereas, the unprecedented mission has benefited more than 2,000 Capiceños who availed RMN’s free medical, dental, surgical, and other services such as circumcision, massage and hairstyling,” the vice governor said in a resolution.
Station manager Ely Abarra said the following number of beneficiaries availed of the various services: medical check-up, 1,130; dental services, 250; circumcision, 167; shiatsu massage, 38; haircut, 100; bloodletting, 33; blood typing, 50; government service such as those provided by the National Statistics Office, 96; animal health care, 25, PhilHealth, 45; and electrical service, 6.*
