Mayor’s report gets high rating from dads
Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog received a high rating from the members of the Sangguniang Panlunsod on his State of the City Address Wednesday.
Councilor Perla Zulueta said that Mabilog is a “go, go, go” mayor.
She gave him a grade of nine out of 10 as she cited that the mayor is a fast learner, admits his mistakes, and always consults with the City Council.
Councilor Jeffrey Ganzon said he was “speechless” when Mabilog announced his hopes that the City Community College will operate in June next year.
He said he did not know the mayor will include the project in his address. Ganzon has been a staunch advocate of the city college project even before Mabilog was elected mayor.
Councilor Jason Gonzales, who gave Mabilog a 6.5 rating, said the address was very comprehensive especially that the mayor outlined his future projects and the direction of the city.
He also admires the mayor’s capability to seek support from various sectors and establish partnerships with foreign counterparts, he said.
Councilor Plaridel Nava said the mayor must make sure that the programs he presented in his state of the city address will be sustained in the next three years.
Nava, who gave Mabilog a rating of eight out of 10, said he was surprised of the many programs and projects the mayor wants to pursue.*PNA
