SAPIAN, Capiz – GMA Iloilo reporter Jocel Huesca and his camera man Felix John Torino were hurt by supporters of a candidate while they were covering the special elections at the poblacion here at around 11:30 a.m. yesterday.
Huesca told The News Today they were inside the school in the town proper when a certain Mario punched his camera man and grabbed his camera and held it for about 20 minutes.
He said the camera’s view finder was damaged.
Huesca said a candidate’s supporter also attacked him and shouted, “Who paid you to take a footage of the election?”
Huesca said it was the first time that he experienced such kind of harassment in his 11 years as a media practitioner.
