Dengue on way out of Iloilo
Dengue fever is on its way out of Iloilo.
Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Sr. said there is a daily decline of cases being admitted in the provincial and district hospitals based on the monitoring of the Provincial Health Office.
As of October 27, the PHO together with the Hospital Operations and Management Services monitored only 22 dengue cases in hospitals in the province which is very minimal compared to the daily admissions in the previous months.
The 22 cases have been monitored in hospitals in Pototan, 2; Cabatuan, 2; Guimbal, 11; Balasan, 1; Passi City, 2; Janiuay, 3; and Barotac Viejo, 1.
The declining dengue cases have been attributed to the increased public consciousness on environmental sanitation and climacteric condition.
Defensor said he hopes the people of Iloilo will continue cleaning their surroundings to prevent increase of dengue cases in the future.*PNA
