December 3 & 8 non-working days
ROXAS CITY – All business establishments, banks, private and public schools, colleges and universities, and residents of Roxas City and Capiz province are encouraged to participate in the week-long festivities of the upcoming Sinadya sa Halaran Festival Week on December 3 to 8.
The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Roxas City recently passed a resolution declaring December 3 and December 8 as non-working days for all business establishments, banks and educational institutions so that all Capiceños can participate in the festivities.
December 3 is the Opening Day of the festival while December 8 is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, religious patroness of Roxas City.
The Sinadya Sa Halaran is an annual civic, religious and cultural festival of Roxas City and the Province of Capiz being celebrated to commemorate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
This year’s festival offers various events and activities that require involvement and participation of all sectors in the community to promote the spirit of unity, love of community and a sense of thanksgiving. It is expected that a thriving and well-attended fiesta celebration will boost tourism for the city and the province.*
