Tanco upbeat on festivities
ROXAS CITY – Capiz Gov. Victor Tanco Sr. said Capiceños and their visitors can expect more exciting events during the Sinadya sa Halaran festivities this December.
“Expect for something different and more bongga activities this year,” Tanco said.
With the support and cooperation of everyone, there is no doubt that this affair on December will be successful, he said.
Sinadya sa Halaran will be held from December 3 to 8 with the theme “Pag-ambitanay, Pagkinalipay, Pagpasalamat” (Sharing, Rejoicing, Thanksgiving).
In a recent meeting, the chairpersons of the different festival committees said they are finalizing details of the preparations for the annual affair of the province of Capiz and Roxas City.
The Roxas City Council has declared December 3 to 8 as Sinadya sa Halaran Festival Week.
In a resolution, Vice Mayor Ronnie Dadivas strongly encouraged city-based business establishments, banks, private and private schools and all Capiceños to get involved and participate in the week-long festivities.
He also noted the observance of non-working days specifically on the opening day on December 3 and on the highlight on December 8 to give all business establishments, banks and educational institutions opportunity to play a part and guarantee a successful, productive and meaningful fiesta.*PIA
