Surprise inspection of police units set
Chief Supt. Cipriano Querol Jr., director of Police Regional Office 6, said he will conduct a “surprise inspection” of all police stations in Western Visayas to check the preparedness of every unit.
The policemen will be checked on the proper wearing of police uniform and their physical appearance.
Querol’s move came after he ordered Miagao police chief, Insp. Fernando Limbongan, relieved from his post following his absence from his
station while a buy-bust operation that yielded P7 million worth of shabu was being conducted by anti-narcotics agents in Miagao.
When Limbongan reported later, he was not wearing a uniform.
“Chiefs of police should always supervise their men and the areas under their responsibility so that they could immediately address any situation,” Querol said.
On-duty policemen should be in their proper police uniform and should wear it with honor and pride, he added.
Limbongan, who was replaced by Insp. Abner Lamera, is facing an administrative case.*
