‘No terror threat in Capiz’
ROXAS CITY – Capiz Police Deputy Provincial Director Mario Millaro assured Capiceños that there is no terror threat in the province, based on their intelligence report.
“Despite this intelligence report, the Philippine National Police here is still on guard and continue to intensify our monitoring activities,” he said.
Millaro’s assurance was made during the Provincial Peace and Order Council meeting of Capiz presided by Gov. Victor Tanco.
Meanwhile, 301st Brigade Commander Caesar Ronnie Ordoyo of the Philippine Army said they have not also monitored any terror threat in Capiz.
Ordoyo, however, appealed for public support, cooperation and vigilance to safeguard the Capiceños against any terror attacks.
“Peace and order must be everybody’s concern,” he said, adding that every citizen should \have his or her part in the conduct of information dissemination and advocacy especially on security preparedness.
Part of the agenda of the PPOC meeting was the review of its accomplishments in relation to the Integrated Area Community Public Safety Plan formulated and adopted last year.
The PPOC of Capiz was reorganized after Tanco issued Executive Order No. 5, series of 2010.*PIA
