Capiz sets BSPO congress
Roxas City – A congress for Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPO) will be conducted by the Provincial Population Office (PPO) of Capiz on Dec. 1 at the Capiz Gym in the Villareal Stadium here.
“About 1,000 BSPOs are expected to attend the congress,” said PPO – Capiz Administrative Operation In-Charge Gennie L. Mariano.
The day-long activity, facilitated by the PPO thru its Officer-In-Charge Yolanda Francisco, will be highlighted by the distribution of cash gifts and recognition of BSPO retirees.
BSPOs who have been in the service for 25 years will be given the Loyalty Award.
A P750,000.00 supplemental budget was approved by the Capiz Provincial Board during its Nov. 17 regular session for the cash gift, awards, raffle prizes and other expenses of the upcoming assembly.
The day-long activity will be graced by Commission on Population (PopCom) regional director Vicente N. Molejona, Capiz Gov. Victor A. Tanco, Sr. and some provincial officials and employees, among others.
Molejona and Tanco will deliver their respective messages during the program.
The BSPO is a civic organization that has been serving as an extension arm of the PPO – Capiz since 1978.
The organization’s assistance to the Capiz provincial government has led to wider awareness and deeper appreciation among Capiceños on the local government’s family planning and reproductive health services.(PIA/A. Lumaque)
