21 wounded in San Joaquin bus accident
Twenty-one passengers were injured when the bus they were riding plunged into a deep ravine in Brgy. Kianan, San Joaquin, Iloilo Wednesday morning.
The San Joaquin Police Station said most of the passengers sustained head and body injuries and were rushed to various hospitals in Iloilo City.
Initial investigation revealed the driver lost control of the bus while negotiating a curve along the highway.
The bus turned turtle, crushing the roadside railings before falling onto the 10-foot deep ravine.
The driver who was not identified immediately surrendered to the Hamtic Police Station in Antique where he was detained for investigation.*PNA
