SP secretary’s son elected SK federation president
ROXAS CITY – The son of Sangguniang Panlalawigan secretary Zoe Herrera Jr. was elected unopposed as president of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Capiz during the election held Friday at the Provincial Capitol.
Zoe Maria Felipe “Migo” Herrera, who hails from Sapian town where his late grandfather Zoe Sr. used to be mayor, was supported by the Liberal Party, whose leaders he thanked after he was named SK Provincial Federation president.
Also elected were: Esteban Ronillo Contreras, vice president; Rey Paolo Pesueña, secretary; Mika Gie Lariza, treasurer; Gerald James Florentino, auditor; Kriza Fernando, PRO; and Earl Jan Gardose, sergeant-at-arms.
Seven SK chairmen from Ugyon Kita Capiz failed to participated in the election.
Herrera, who will sit as ex-officio member of the Provincial Board, said he will prioritize health and education programs for the youth.
His father said he will guide his son in making the SK implement its programs and projects better, adding that he will not allow politicians to use his son to promote their personal interests.*
