Ma cries for justice in son's brutal slay
Iloilo -- Was he executed by the rebels? Or victim of foul play in the hands of a relative?
For Felicitas Cabalfin, the answer remains equally painful as she now struggles to accept the brutal death of her son Ian Jay whose remains were dug up in a shallow grave under the advance state of decomposition.
With no clear motive and charges filed as of yet, the killing of the 27 year-old victim has pushed Felicitas to seek for justice as she calls on local government officials in their hometown Leon to help in the plight of her son.
This, as calls for police action and thorough probe was also sought by the family to establish the suspect or group of suspects.
In a report, The News Today gathered that the victim may have been killed for at least 3 weeks now. Talks abound in Barangay Buga, Leon, Iloilo that he was picked up by four armed men believed to be members of the Revolutionary Proletarian Army (RPA), the reason however remains unclear.
Ian Jay's decomposing body was discovered in a forested area of Sitio Tibud, Barangay Lanag of said town.
Medico-legal officer Owen Lebaquin was tasked to conduct an autopsy.
