OPAPP creates Task Force Kasangga

Queen for a Day
Iloilo's old name old wealth personalities were treated to a queen's banquet when manor-born lady and philanthropist, Mercedes "Dichi" Ledesma-Arenas celebrated her diamond birthday in her fabulous 112-year-old ancestral home in one of the city's historic quarters -- Sto. Rosario Street. It used to be the embassy row during the early 1900s.
Nes and Tats has a new home
The home of original Ilonggo dishes, Nes and Tats Manokan and Seafoods, has a new home. It held its re-opening and blessing last March 23. The event started with a ribbon cutting headed by businessman Rogelio Florete and followed by a blessing officiated by Rev. Fr. Julius Almeria of the St. Vincent Ferrer Parish.

'"A Protest Over the Guimaras Oil Spill" is the champion in the sculpture category of the Metrobank Art and Design Excellence, a national competition held recently. In recognition of Gonzales's work, the City Government gave him an Award of Citation.
