GSIS puts up RFID kiosk at city hall
Government workers can now transact business using their E-card at the city hall temporarily located at the 3rd floor of Robinsons Place Iloilo.
A Radio Frequency ID (RFID) Kiosk of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has been installed at the city hall area following the approval of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of a memorandum of receipt with the said agency.
The RFID Kiosk is exclusively for use of off-site business transactions with the GSIS wireless automated processing system (G-WAPS). The equipment includes one tablet screen, one finger scanner with igloo, one radio frequency reader, one wireless modem and one uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
Under the agreement, the city government will take care of the unit and guard it against loss or destruction caused by theft, robbery, malicious mischief, fire and other man-made or natural calamities.
With the RFID kiosk, clients not only from the city but also from the different towns of Iloilo can transact business. The additional RFID in the city will lessen the number of individuals transacting business in one RFID kiosk.
